Making History -II

Nak kemana eh?? Tak nampak pula org yg dlm group yg boleh kami join. So keep on walking, along J. Imbi, belok tepi jln IPKL , terus..., then tau2 nampak Hentian Puduraya depan mata. Nampak orang ramai berjln w/pun tak perasan macam dalam kumpulan. Ada juga perasan a police van full of people.... ada org dah kena tangkap?? Tak pasti. Sekejap we took a rest at a bus stop. Jumpa a guy from BP (kenal Hubby) dia pun nak join org lain w/pun tak tau kat mana. Later we realise at the opposite road..quite far from us ,heading to the junction near to Menara Maybank: lot of people , really lots of people, walking together, chanting a voice: "Hidup2! Hidup Bersih! "etc.
This is IT! We really stumbled upon them. Inilah yang kami plan nak join. BERSIH rally and it happened in front of our eyes. What and how to say it: excitement, happy, satisfaction, tak tau lah. We came closer , joining them, chanting together..and it really lots of people not only one race but all there. Mat salleh pun ada! People taking pictures, carrying yellow ballons, standing & walking on the street,or just stood on & beside the buildings, under the trees: all full! We did notice FRU truck at the far end... but everything seem so smooth, people enjoying themselves, a few saying something using the speaker (the leaders, i suppose). Some distributing Bersih stickers, we got some: Iqah sticked one on her shoulder, Hubby made it stuck on his cap. We kept shooting pictures. Then, a siren heard and the water canon was fired, the tear gas being shot..... what then, people began to run , running for life! Then we stopped, as the situation began to cool, we just stood at the kaki lima. Noticed Dr Hatta Ramli making a short say following by applauses, laungan takbir, chanting Hidup Bersih. Two heli kept roaming on our heads, making countless rounds...then it began to rain. hujan rahmat, membersih yang kotor. Then the tear gas was fired again and the smell made us teary, burned throat and all not well. Since we were close to a hospital, many of us climbed the small hill and ran to the hospital compound. It rained heavily now, one guard allowed us to enter the hospital and few of us sat on the floor waiting the situation to become calm again.

Making History I

"Consider this as... we're heading to be part of history." That was what I told my youngest son before we were heading to KL that day. Yeah, we want to be part of it and we DID it !! Who are WE??? Me, hubby and Iqah .
We started the journey at almost 12am to catch 1.25 am train in Kluang. Hubby had already booked 3 sleepers (going) & return bus ticket via internet. He did great job in making this trip possible. Hubby's friend drove us (quite fast for us) to Kluang. Few people at the train station and once aboard I couldn't tell whether I really fell asleep or not. Quite lucky to those who can sleep soundly with all the noise!
Anyway, we reached KL Sentral at 6.30. Lack of signboard for first timers like us, so it took a while to figure out where the surau is. Turun, naik cari..... baru dapat. Perghh! Lots of people waiting to perform solat Subuh at the men's . So Hubby had to go to the 4th floor and he met a group of Kedahans (kenal Cikgu Nordin PS). Then we walked around.... not knowing where to head to. 1st thing first, b/fast dulu: so we were having nasi lemak (RM5 per plate) not knowing that the only nasi we going to have for the rest of the day......!
Lepak sikit kat situ, baru bangun. Now we did notice that more policemen were around. Orang pun makin ramai, yg pakai kopiah dan tak, tapi tak pula nampak org2 berbaju kuning. Nak ke toilet in the 4th floor... ada polis kata dah tutup! Hah!!
Now what?? To kill time we planned to go to Imbi via Monorel. Stesen monorel pun payah nak jumpa. Jalan kaki sampai dah dekat stesen Sambathan, tutup lah pulak. Pusing balik, rupanya ada stesen lain yg termiss. So naik LRT kat situ to Imbi (RM1.60 pax). This is my first or 2nd time naik monorel. nampak jln arah Stadium dah blocked. Sampai Imbi before 10 am. Times Square pun tak buka lagi! So we went to Low Yat, sama gak.... duduk2 kat situ sampai dia org buka. Window shopping dgn gadgets kat situ. nak tengok I-Pad..kedai demo tak buka2. We left that place then masuk Times Sq. Iqah nak beli something kat Watson's then I bought socks at Sox's Place. I wore the black one right away. Duduk2 lagi, tak tahu nak kemana.
Then planned to take monorel to Hang Tuah, but... tutup same as Maharajalela (both are close to Stadium) Now what??? Jalan kaki to the stadium or are we going to be here only?? Mana boleh.. plan baik2 dtg& join but we are not at the right location.Tak sampai lah hajat. Jln kaki ke stadium, agak jauh. Try ambik taxi... tak nak antar: byk polis, kata driver. Sooo......?? Tunggu , kita sambung nanti.
